Police are hunting a man who was allegedly picking up the cat and escaping on a train. The cat, known as Mr Muk, is a large Siberian Forest ginger cat.
Their owner said he is missing an upper right tooth, is neutered and microchipped. The Met Police have now issued an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft in Islington, north London. He is described as in his 20s with short black hair and he was wearing a dark cap, yellow T-shirt and grey trousers. The Met Police said he was allegedly seen approaching Mr Muk in Petherton Road, N5, before picking him up and making off. The suspect and the cat were last seen at Canonbury Station between 8.30pm and 9pm on Monday July 30th.
